Gastblog door Heis – De afgelopen weken heb ik weer leuke tweedehandse items gevonden. Kijk je mee?
Het rommelmarkt seizoen is begonnen! Elke vrijdag kijk ik even op internet of in de buurt van Rotterdam of er een leuke markt is het aankomende weekend. Vijf jaar geleden was ik vooral op zoek naar meubels en allerlei prulleria om mijn lege huis te vullen. Mooie meubels heb ik gevonden op verschillende markten. Ik heb zelfs teveel kleine prul verzamelt – en hield een paar weken terug een kleine pop-up vintage sale in mijn eigen woonkamer! Gelukkig is er wat verkocht en mag ik weer leuke tweedehands spulletjes gaan zoeken. Ook al heb ik genoeg, ik kan het niet laten. Ik moet minstens één keer in de maand door een kringloop of op een rommelmarkt struinen, anders wordt ik onrustig.
Ik zit nu in mijn ik-zoek-leuke-en-apartje-potjes-voor-mijn-plantjes fase. Dus eerst scannen op leuke plantenpotten en dan pas naar de rest van het kraampje kijken. Zo heb ik een grote zwart-witte plantenpot gevonden en, ik denk, een Japanse theekop. Voor nu gebruik ik het kopje als pot voor een klein cactusplant.
Maar mijn oog is zo gefocust op potten en vazen dat ik zelf een blinde vlek heb gecreëerd voor al het andere en dat is soms jammer. Pas op het tweede rondje door de markt zie ik weer hele andere dingen. Zoals dit kleine fotolijstje!
En ik zou eens vaker in de dozen onder de kraampjes moeten rommelen. Ik vind zowaar de mooiste bouwblokjes. Ik moet weer open staan voor verrassingen.
Ik ben wel benieuwd: laat jij je totaal verrassen op een rommelmarkt? Of ben je toch op zoek naar een bepaald item?
Afgelopen zaterdag vond ik ook twee kleurige en fleurige schilderijtjes uit China. Meestal ben ik fan van kleine prijsjes en ik probeer soms zo laag te bieden dat de verkoper mij bijna uit zijn kraam bonjourt. Maar soms moet je jezelf een beetje intomen en proberen een fijne prijs te noemen om de vrede te bewaren als je regelmatig dezelfde markt bezoekt.
Afdingen is een leuk spel maar zoals een marktkoopman mij een keer toe gromde: leven en laten leven. Toen besefte ik dat ik iets te ver was gegaan en dat ik niet voor dubbie op de eerste rij kan zitten. Maar het blijft spannend als een keer iets voor een klein bedrag kan krijgen. Daar kan zelfs een brommende, filosofische verkoper niet tegenop!
